FATHER AND GIRL DIE; 5 HURT IN CRASH
AUTO SKIDS INTO HEAVY INTERURBAN

Four members of Lakewood Family and Friend in Seri-
ous Condition in Youngstown.

Driver Turns Suddenly and Machine Slips on Wet Pavement. 

A Lakewood man and his six-year-
old daughter were killed, four other 
members of the family and another
man were seriously injured yester-
day afternoon when the automobile
in which they were riding collided at 
Youngstown with a new Castle lim-
ited interurban.

  ANDREW BEGANY, JR., 23 same address.

  ADAM HRYMLAK, 12903 Plover street, Lake-
wood.
  All of the injured of the Begany
family were taken unconscious to
City hospital in Youngstown.  Mr.
Hrymlak, though not so seriously in-
jured, suffered bruises to the arms and legs.
  The Begany family with Mr. Hrym-
lak left Cleveland about 6:30 yester-
day morning to visit relatives near 
Youngstown.  At the time of the ac-
cident they were driving west on 
Wilson avenue and, in order to dodge 
the oncoming interurban limited,
made a sharp turn off on to Hine
street.
  The machine skidded on the wet
pavement and the rear of the auto-
mobile collided with the trolley car.
All of the occupants were thrown 
from the automobile and the machine
itself was wrecked.
  Three younger members of the 
family, Steve, aged 17, Paul, 15, and 
Charles, 11, remained at the Cleve-
land home.
  Begany was employed at the Par-
ish & Bingham Co. plant.  Hrymlak
is a machinist at the Lakewood En-
gineering Co.
